Electric Infrared Heaters

Control Assemblies for Metal Sheath Heaters

Metal sheath radiant heaters take about two minutes to reach operating temperature and about two minutes to cool down. An Aitken control assembly uses that lag to cycle the heater on and off, holding it at a precise, predetermined output percentage.

How It Works

Percentage Output, Not Just On/Off

Percentage Input Timer

A 30-second cycle timer, driven by a solid state pulsing device, with a control dial calibrated 0–100%.

All-in-One Assembly

Timer, pulsing device, and an on-board transformer are integrated into one dust-tight box — the transformer eliminates the need for a separate dual-voltage feed.

Pre-Wired & Ready

Ships pre-wired with an on/off switch and pilot light. Requires only a three-phase feed through a contactor.

For example: to get 80% heater output, the timer is set to 80%, creating a cycle of 24 seconds energized and 6 seconds off.

Model Range

Seven Capacity Levels

Available across seven capacity levels from 30A to 160A (models N324-A through N1648-A), in three voltage options: 240V, 208V, and 480V. Maximum output ranges from 12.0 KW to 128.0 KW depending on model and voltage.
